Return of Hindu pilgrims after Shadani Darbar

LAHORE: A group of 84 Hindu pilgrims who came to Pakistan for the annual pilgrimage to the historic Shadani Darbar in Hayat Patafi Sindh returned to India through the Wagah border crossing.

Officials of the Mutukah Waqf Property Board (ETPB), including Additional Secretary Shrines Saifullah Khokhar and Deputy Secretary Umar Javed Awan bid farewell to the pilgrims.

Talking to the media, Saint Dr. Yudhishtar Lal, the leader of the Bharatiya Jatha, praised the warmth and excellent arrangements provided by Pakistan. “The love and affection we received in Pakistan will always be remembered. We are deeply grateful to the ETPB and the Government of Pakistan for the wonderful arrangements, including security, accommodation, and medical care,” he said.

During their visit, the pilgrims performed religious rituals at the Shadani Darbar in Mirpur Mathilo and the Sadh Bello Temple in Sukkur.

Dr. Lal expressed his gratitude for the freedom provided to practice his religious rituals and praised the ever-improving hospitality for pilgrims every year.

Additional Secretary Ziarat Saifullah Khokhar said that the pilgrims completed their visit as per the instructions of ETPB Chairman Syed Ataur Rehman who ensured provision of all facilities including transport, security and medical assistance.

At the Wagah border crossing, ETPB officials presented special gifts and bouquets to the pilgrims as a gesture of goodwill. The visitors expressed their satisfaction with the arrangements and thanked the Government of Pakistan and the temple management for their efforts.
