Saud Qasmi is a Pakistani TV and film actor and producer known for his versatile roles in several hit Pakistani feature films. He has also produced successful TV serials like Yeh Zindagi Hai and Khuda Aur Mohabbate. The actor is married to Jawaria Saud, and the couple has two children. Recently, she received acclaim for her performance in popular Pakistani dramas such as Baby Baaji, Mohabbate Satrangi, and Baby Baaji Ki Bahween.
In a recent appearance on Ahmed Ali Butt’s podcast, Saud Qasmi criticized Pakistani actor and director Shaan Shahid for his career choice.
Speaking about Shaan Shahid, Saud Qasmi said that Shaan should stop pointing out the mistakes of others and focus on correcting his own mistakes. Only then can he become a better person. I think it is wrong to criticize others. I already told him to stop doing that. There is a time for everything, and the learning process never ends. An actor is always looking for good work and is constantly improving his craft.
Saud Qasmi also said that Pakistani film industry was destroyed by Shaan Shahid, Syed Noor and others. He said, “Lollywood was destroyed by many people, some of whom are now dead. It suffered a lot because of Shaan, Syed Noor and others who were only interested in their personal gain. Unlike people in the Bollywood film industry, they didn’t work as professionals. People signed multiple films that they couldn’t handle. Actors were also doing multiple films at the same time.
He added that I, Muammar Rana and Shaan sat together and decided not to act in such bad films that promote guns and fights. We all decided together, but they signed those films, and I refused. The result was that the producers boycotted me, so I came to Karachi and got married.
