ISLAMABAD: The Supreme Court of Pakistan postponed the oath -taking ceremony for seven newly appointed judges, which is actually scheduled on Thursday, due to delay in official information.
The event will now take place on Friday.
The Ministry of Law and Justice released reports of late appointment on Wednesday night, confirming the height of six judges as permanent members of the Supreme Court and an acting judge.
The newly appointed judges include Justice Hashim Khan Kakar, Shafi Siddiqui, Salahuddin Panwar, Shakeel Ahmed, Amir Farooq, and Ashtiaq Ibrahim. Justice Mian Gul Hassan Aurangzeb has been appointed as an acting judge.
The event was resolved due to the delay in finalizing these appointments. The Ministry of Law and Justice has confirmed that the program will now be held on Friday.
