Islamabad traffic plan ahead of PTI protest announced

ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad administration has announced a detailed traffic regulation plan to deal with any security threats during the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf (PTI) sit-in on November 24.

To maintain law and order, the administration has initiated strict security measures at all sensitive places in Islamabad. Checking security.

This includes that a large number of entrances and exits to the Red Zone have already been sealed and will remain closed. To contain the possible threat of unrest in the city, the authority has closed Murree Road to the capital and cordoned off several areas of T Chowk, Faizabad and 26 Chongi.

Additionally, all entrances to Islamabad from Srinagar Highway have been closed, while several roads including Sector I-8, IJP Double Road, Margalla Road, and Golra Mor flyover and underpass have been closed.

Moreover, Section 144 has been imposed across the city in view of the upcoming PTI protest in Islamabad on November 24. The ban on gatherings and demonstrations will come into effect from Saturday, November 23 and will last until Monday, November 25, 2024.

Through this elaborate traffic plan and the implementation of Section 144, proper management tries to control and protect people during PTI protests.
