Akura Khatak: A suicide bombing killed six worshipers, including Joy leader Maulana Hameed -ul -Haqani, and 20 others were injured in a mosque in Darul al -Mu’addania madrassa in Nashira district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, on Friday, PP Inspector General of Police (IGP).
“Maulana Hameed -ul -Haq Haqqani, son of the late Maulana Sami -ul -Haq and the head of Darul al -Haqqaniya were among the dead,” said Muhammad Ali Saif, a spokesman for the KP government.
KPIG police said that after the blast was broken through the mosque of Darul Alum and gathered for Friday prayers, confirming that it was a suicide blast.
“Three policemen were also injured in the attack,” Hameed said.
Talking to a private TV, KPIG said that the Haqqani seems to be the target of a suicide bombing.
No group has immediately claimed responsibility for the attack.
“He was a great religious scholar whose many services for Islam are unforgettable,” KP Chief Minister Barrister Muhammad Ali Saif’s adviser said in a statement.

According to the Directorate of Public Relations, the blast took place at 2 pm, adding that the police and rescue teams were immediately dispatched to the site of the incident.

Rescue officials shifted the injured to nearby hospitals, while the provincial government announced an emergency in all hospitals and health facilities across Peshawar, which is about 70 70 km from Noshera by road.

In the past, mosques and synagogues have been targeted in terrorist attacks in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
