The Supreme Court of Pakistan announced winter vacations.
ISLAMABAD: The winter vacation of the Supreme Court of Pakistan will start from December 18 and continue till December 31, a notification issued on Thursday said.
According to the details, “Under Order II, Rule 5 of the Supreme Court Rules, 1980, the Hon’ble Chief Justice of Pakistan has fixed Wednesday 18 December 2024 as the date for the commencement of the winter vacation of the Court,” it said. .
The court will reopen on Wednesday, January 1, 2025.
The notification made it clear that the offices of the Supreme Court will remain open during holidays except public holidays. Important cases will be fixed for hearing before available benches with the approval of the Committee.
Earlier today, Secretary Schools Punjab Khalid Nazir Watto announced that the winter vacations in the schools of the province will begin from December 20, 2024, and the vacations will continue until January 10, 2025.
