According to UAE media, the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratis (MOHRE) has announced a two-day holiday for all public and private sector employees in the country.
The ministry said that on December 2 and 3, 2024, all public and private sector employees in the UAE will be paid holidays in celebration of the 53rd National Day, also known as Eid al-Fitr.
Employees will enjoy a week-long holiday with Saturday and Sunday combined, which will be converted into a four-day break.
The ministry added that normal working hours will resume from Wednesday, December 4.
On this occasion, the UAE Authority expressed its best wishes to “the leadership of the UAE, its citizens and all residents across the country”.
Every year UAE nationals and expatriates celebrate National Day with enthusiasm.
The official ceremony will be held in Al Ain city, in which the country’s leaders will also participate.
From malls and homes to beaches and deserts, national flags will be flown everywhere.
Fireworks shows will be held at several locations, while vibrant displays reflecting the colors of the UAE flag will light up the city across Dubai.
