US National Security Advisor praised Pakistan's counter -terrorism efforts in a call with Ishaq Dar

Islamabad: Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar received a phone call from US National Security Advisor Michael Walters, who thanked Pakistan for its efforts to fight terrorism and praised the country’s ongoing steps in the fight against extremism.

According to a statement from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Walters thanked US President Donald Trump’s efforts and praise for Pakistan’s efforts in counter -terrorism.

In response, Dar congratulated Walters on his appointment as a US National Security Advisor and expressed hopes for further strengthening the long -standing and multilateral relations between the two countries under President Trump’s administration.

Dar reaffirmed his commitment to continue cooperation with the United States in the fight against terrorism and praised President Trump’s announcement in connection with the withdrawal of military equipment left behind US forces in Afghanistan.

The two sides also discussed enhancing cooperation in areas such as information technology, energy and minerals. He agreed on the importance of trade, investment, climate change and permanent dialogue on trade, investment, climate change and precision, in view of the extensive bilateral cooperation.
