According to doctors, Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan is likely to be discharged from Mumbai’s Lilavati Hospital today.
Lilavati Hospital’s Dr Nitin Dange confirmed the development on Tuesday morning. “Khan’s discharge papers were prepared last night and he will leave the hospital between 10 am and 12 am”, he said.
Saif Ali Khan was admitted to Lilavati Hospital last Thursday after a shocking stabbing incident during an attempted burglary at his home in Mumbai. The assailant allegedly stabbed the actor about six times with a sharp knife and fled the scene.
After the attack, Khan was rushed to Lilavati Hospital in an autorickshaw where he underwent two surgeries to treat his injuries.
The Mumbai Police is actively investigating the matter and has taken into custody the suspects involved in the attack.
Initially, the suspect was identified as 31-year-old Akash Kanojia, who was caught on a train from Chhattisgarh to Mumbai. However, recent Indian media reports now suggest that the suspect is actually a Bangladeshi national named Muhammad Sharif Islam.
According to police Reports The accused was employed by a housekeeping agency in Thane and was arrested near the metro construction site in Hiranandani Estate. Reports suggest that he was working at different locations in Mumbai and Thane for about seven to eight months.
After the tragic incident, Saif’s fans and industry colleagues have expressed relief and wished the actor well.
