Islamabad: In an important step towards modernizing Pakistan’s judicial system, Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif launched the case assignment and management system on Friday.
The move is aimed at providing transparent, effective and fast justice to legalism across the country.
Addressing the launch event here on Friday, the Prime Minister emphasized that the system is in a long postponement, as citizens across the country are demanding a more transparent and faster judicial process.
He expressed confidence that the new system would go a long way in resolving the grievances of the people, to ensure that justice could be brought to time.
Prime Minister Shahbaz highlighted the widespread waste of resources over the past years due to corruption, collusion, and lack of modern technical solutions within the judicial system.
He emphasized the need for collective efforts to change Pakistan and to recover the losses in the past, which will eventually lead to future benefits for the country.
Referring to a recent meeting with Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Yahya Afridi, the Prime Minister mentioned his request for Speedy, merit -based decisions in pending cases.
Earlier this week, Premier visited the CJP Afridi’s residence to discuss the agenda of the next National Judicial Policy -making Committee (NJPMC) meeting.
In his speech, Prime Minister Shahbaz also pledged to recover every money in Pakistan, ensuring that it would be used for the betterment of the people of the nation.
He thanked all stakeholders, including international partners such as the United Nations (UN) and Canada, who helped them design and provide financial support for the development of case assignments and management systems.
Representatives of the United Nations Office of the United Nations (UNODC) on drugs and crimes also spoke at the event, in which the Pakistani government and the Pakistani government in introducing modern technology to enhance governance. The full support of the Ministry of Law and Justice was expressed.
He praised the leadership of Prime Minister Shahbaz for reforms to modernize Pakistan’s judicial system.
