Quetta: According to reports released by Deputy Commissioners of several districts, the Balochistan government has banned travel on key national highways across the province overnight.
According to the directive, travel will be prohibited from 6pm to 6pm on several important routes, including Sibi Road, Zhob Dera Ismail Khan Road, Coastal Highway, Quetta Tafen Highway, and Loralai-Dera Ghazi Khan Highway.
Referring to the need to ensure security concerns and the need to ensure the safety of passengers, the ban has been imposed through reports of deputy commissioners of Kachi, Zhob, Gwadar, Noshki, and Musakhel.
The move comes after several recent incidents, including a suicide bombing near the Balochistan National Party-Mangal (BNPM) rally in the Masting Lock Pass.
In a separate attack last week, terrorists killed at least eight people, including four workers and four policemen in Kalat and Noshki districts.
In addition, five passengers were hanged two days ago when gunmen stopped a Karachi -connected bus in Gwadar’s words, and forcibly removed the victims.
Another major attack targeted a paramilitary convoy on Noshki Dalbandin Highway, killing five people, including three Frontier Corps (FC) personnel, and 35 others were injured.
The security situation worsened with the attack on Jafar Express by militants affiliated with the Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA). The attackers blew up the railway track, took more than 440 passengers hostage, and raised security forces for a long time.
The clearance operation by security personnel resulted in the elimination of 33 militants and the hostages. However, 26 passengers, including 18 security personnel, three railways and government officials and five citizens, lost their lives.
In addition, three FC personnel were killed in an attack on a security post before the train was ambushed.
