Lahore: Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz on Monday ordered the suspension of the Medical Superintendent of Jinnah Hospital and directed the Jinnah Hospital Principal to resign from his post after a surprising visit to the hospital.
The Prime Minister arrived at the Punjab Hospital where he met with a village of complaints from the patients and his attendees. Patients complained about the shortage of medicines and poor administration.
The Chief Minister expressed his anger over the complaints of patients due to the loss of medicines despite the availability of medicines at the Madison Store. The Chief Minister also visited the Madison Store and the emergency ward of Jinnah Hospital.
In the emergency ward, the CM spoke with patients and their attendees. He checked the patients’ medical prescriptions and the medicines given to them. An elderly patient prayed deeply for the welfare of CM Maryam Nawaz.
The Chief Minister embraced a female patient and comforted her. He questioned patients about the availability of medicines and other facilities, including medical tests. Jinnah Hospital patients also complained of not getting medicines in emergency wards and other matters.
The Chief Minister also reviewed the cleaning arrangements at the hospital and monitored other matters. He expressed his displeasure over the absence of medicines in the emergency ward.
Services hospitals increased
Meanwhile, the shortage of medicines has increased in the services hospital, which has claimed the government’s attention to improving services and Mayo hospitals in provincial metropolis and Mayo hospitals.
According to the details, the hospital’s emergency has a shortage of medicines about chest infections, injection sophrofocoxine, midzolum, sodium wallproof sandstone, pholomazinel. Presiding over a meeting to review the health care facilities in public sector hospitals, CM Maryam Nawaz ordered an exhibition of available list of medicines at every government hospital.
Maryam Nawaz also directed to activate patients’ counters in hospitals and install electronic boards for available medicines. On the instructions of Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz, the patients will also be called by calling.
Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz also ordered the supply of chairs and benches for patients in the waiting rooms. He directed the concerned authorities to go to hospitals daily and review checklists, including doctors, staff attendance, free medicines, lab tests, biomedical equipment.
