Please: The district administration has closed the Telparachanar road for a week due to search operation in the clash-hit areas of Lower Kurram.

The local administration has announced that the road will remain closed due to the search operation in several areas of Lower Karam Tul Parachinar.

Meanwhile, the protest sit-in continues in Mandori, as the main highway remains closed for the past 113 days. The district administration of Karam has said that arrangements are being made for Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs). Meanwhile, a convoy of 22 trucks carrying relief items including food, medicine and other essential items has reached Hangu.

Earlier, security forces had taken control of Bagan Bazaar in Karam, aiming to restore peace in the region. Several bunkers have been evacuated during the operation, four of which belong to the Watizai tribe and the Turi tribe.

In view of the attacks on convoys and unrest, a search operation has been started to arrest the accused. According to the tribal elder Haji Karim, house-to-house searches are being conducted to find the criminals involved.

Security sources confirmed that the operation is focused on eliminating threats and ensuring the safety of commuters and residents in the area.

On January 18, Deputy Commissioner Karam Javedullah Mehsud said that a major operation would be launched at four locations in the district to eliminate terrorists. He said that the displaced persons are being shifted to Taal and Hangu for their safety.

Days after a peace deal was reached between the warring tribes, violence erupted once again in the troubled region as Karam DC was injured in a firing incident.
