Mohsin Naqvi said there were no talks with Tehreek-e-Insaaf protestors
ISLAMABAD: Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi has clearly stated that the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) government will not negotiate with the protesters.
Speaking to the media, Naqvi emphasized that the situation is clear to all, and the government’s directive is clear: there will be no dialogue with the protesters.
“The protesters were trying to create a situation that would result in loss of life. Behind all the unrest is a woman. The PTI’s aim was to ensure bloodshed,” Naqvi said, adding that the government was successful in such tactics. He added that the government’s position is clear: there will be no negotiations with the protesters.
Naqvi assured that the government is working to prevent further loss of life, focusing on clearing areas with minimal harm to civilians. He also highlighted the importance of maintaining peace and stability as directed by Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif.
Along with Naqvi, Federal Information Minister Atta Tarar condemned the actions of the protesters, alleging that people were paid to join the protests. He also said that those responsible for violence and disturbance will be held accountable.
