Lahore: Under the vision of Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz, the ‘school dinner program’ continues successfully and in addition to the government, the implementation of better policies and strategies is working as a catalyst to significantly reduce the impact of malnutrition among students, ‘the first phase of the school’s food program.
In a few months of the launch of the ‘School Dinner Program’, a unique record of registering more than 55,000 new students was set. The schools of Muzaffargarh, Rajanpur and DG Khan were provided with 40 million milk packs. More than 300 million milk packs were provided to students from all three districts. At the beginning of the ‘school dinner program’, the number of students has increased from 3 lakh 61 thousand to 4 lakh 16 thousand.
Transparency and competitive tendering ensured savings in the ‘school dinner program’. In the direction of CM Maryam Nawaz Sharif, an effective surveillance and administrative system has been implemented. He directed to take steps for ‘school dinner program’ in other remote districts of southern Punjab. He stressed, “All resources are available to students and the scope of the ‘school dinner program’ will be gradually increased.”
Message of CM Maryam Nawaz Sharif on the kidney day
“I pay tribute to all the people who donate the kidney,” Prime Minister Maryam Nawaz said in a message on World Day of World Day. “It is very important for kidney care for a healthy life,” he added. He highlighted, “Best and free facilities are being provided for kidney treatment in Punjab.”
The Chief Minister emphasized, “Free dialysis facilities initiated by Quaid -e -Muhammad Nawaz Sharif will not only continue but will also improve further.” “A transplant card is being launched for standard treatment for kidney diseases,” he said. “The efforts of all doctors and nursing staff engaged in the treatment of kidney diseases are commendable,” he added.
