The Karachi Traffic Diversion Plan was announced as part of Ideas 2024.

KARACHI: In a press release, the Karachi Traffic Police has prepared a traffic control plan aimed at minimizing disruptions and delays during the 12th International Defense Exhibition and Seminar (Ideas) to be held at Expo Center Karachi from November 19 to 22. To allow easy passage of vehicles in and around it. .

Amid security concerns, various points on Shahrah Faisal will be temporarily closed, including Durg Road to Karsaz, in both directions from 2 am to 5 am on November 23.

Traffic from the airport will be diverted to NIPA via Darg Road, Rashid Minhas Road, Millennium Mall.

Additionally, airport-bound traffic coming from FTC and Nursery areas will not be diverted towards Karsaz Road or Airport but should use Shaheed Millat Road via Baloch Colony Bridge.

Similarly, traffic coming from Jail Chowrangi may be diverted from Hasan Square, Nepa, and Rashid Minhas Road to Drug Road, Airport.

Karachi Traffic Police has advised drivers to observe alternative routes wherever possible to minimize disruption. For example, traffic using University Road will be diverted from Stadium Road, Carsaz and Millennium Mall. Jail Chowrangi, PP Chowrangi and Shaheed Millat can be alternative routes instead. Apart from this, going from Liaquatabad No. 10 to Hasan Square Bridge to Stadium Road will not be allowed.

Karachi Traffic Police has urged commuters to plan their travel routes and take care of traffic diversions to avoid inconvenience. The traffic plan aims to ensure smooth vehicular movement and minimum disruption throughout the IDEAS 2024 exhibition.
