New Zealand won the toss, chooses first batting

Unds vs NZ: New Zealand elected the first batting after winning the toss against India in the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 final.

After the toss at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium, New Zealand captain Mitchell Sentner said Nathan Smith had replaced Matt Henry due to his injury.

As is expected, there were many Indian supporters. Santner said that the field looks good, which he used in his last game as compared to India.

Later, Indian captain Rohit Sharma said that the second batting would not significantly change the results and noted that New Zealand was a great squad. He also said that the wicket is good.
