Before the President’s visit, the delegation of Belarus reached Islamabad.
ISLAMABAD: A high-level ministerial delegation led by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Belarus Maxim Rezinkov arrived in Islamabad ahead of the visit of the Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko. Important agreements are expected to be signed between the two countries during the visit.
The delegation arrived on Sunday evening and includes 8 Belarusian ministers and 43 businessmen. President Lukashenko will arrive in Islamabad on Monday.
Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi, Additional Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for Europe Ambassador Shafaq Ali Khan and Ambassador of Pakistan to Belarus Sajjad Haider Khan warmly welcomed the delegation at Islamabad Airport.
The visit is being seen as an opportunity to strengthen bilateral relations and increase cooperation in various fields. During the establishment of the delegation, important meetings and agreements are expected and the Belarusian President is also expected to meet Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and the Army Chief.
